This is the usual way, certainly so far. A tutor comes to you, for a set fee that inlcudes all tuition and travel, all workbooks, registration, evaluation and certification. You just need to provide the teaching room, any refreshments, and the delegates. Everyone on the course fills in an evaluation that rates the presentation quality and the relevance of the course to them, and these, together with feedback from the tutor, are returned to you in a bound evaluation document.

Every year there is an ’Open’ (open to all relevant professionals) course held at APT HQ. The course is three days, and starts on the first Tuesday in March and costs £540 + VAT per delegate. This is an excellent option for people to ’try out’ the course. The cost includes refreshments but not lunch nor overnight accommodation.

The RAID® course is now available online. This is an excellent version of the RAID course, with online material, chat rooms where students support each other, a library where student’ projects are published for their colleagues to read, recorded RAID® lectures, multiple-choice questions to self-test and a project to submit to a live tutor (who will ’mark’ and provide feedback) to show you can RAID® at work. Students who complete the course are registered and certificated.

This is an optional module for delegates who have attended a ’live’ RAID® Course and want to complete the same project as those undertaking it online. It is a work-based project illustrating RAID® principles, of around 2,000 words plus references and appendices.

This option is only available to people with suitable seniority (consultant grade or equivalent) and there is no cost involved in applying. If sucessful, it means you can run courses in your own organisation for half the cost of the standard fee, so long as the course-evaluations continue to be up to the required standard. Delegates receive the full course, with registration and certification as normal.

This is a major undertaking where an organisation seeks comprehensive feedback on how well they are implementing RAID® principles. It entails three senior RAID® tutors spending three days with your service and writing and submitting a report (designed to be helpful but which will highlight both good and bad practice) within three weeks of the visit

This is automatically gained when you have a successful inspection (see above). One of the principal advantages of being a Centre of Excellence, apart from acknowledged status, is that you can run The RAIDŽ Course under license for delegates from outside of your own organisation, so long as you have a RAIDŽ tutor (see above).
